The Duquesne Incline, which has two uphill trolleys – is in the heart of Pittsburgh. These are great attractions and a lot of fun for the whole family!
The Strip District is located in city square and is packed with restaurants, international markets, museums, and shops. It runs alongside the Allegheny River, and is about a half a square mile. You could spend the entire day here and not see everything in the Strip District.
The Senator John Heinz History Center is not a typical museum. There are sports exhibits, as well as the Heinz Ketchup production exhibits. Everything from the Civil War to current, if it has relevance to Pittsburgh, it will be here.
The Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens are the showcase for weddings and ambiance. They have a collection of green rooms, as well as tropical forests and butterfly gardens. There are many different types of trees and plants, and this is a nature lovers dream. Located just shy of 5 miles from Pittsburgh city center.
The Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium is in the Shadyside neighborhood, and is home to more than 400 species of animals. Ranging from elephants to lions and tigers. Both kids and adults will enjoy spending time in this wonderful place.
PNC Park is home to the Pittsburgh Pirates. They also have other events depending on the time of year. Come catch a game and enjoy local craft beers at this amazing stadium.
Carnegie Science Center is located just outside of city square, and is home to a large range of interactive exhibits for both adults and children. There is much to explore here, and it’s a great experience to visit in Pittsburgh PA.
Heinz Field, which is a waterfront location, is both a convert venue and football NLF stadium. It’s views are unbeatable.
Kennywood is located 8 miles around Pittsburgh’s city center, and is an amusement park. It’s got a 230 foot roller coaster called the Phantom’s Revenge, as well as water rides and a wooden roller coaster built in 1924 called the Thunderbolt. There is something to do here for everyone.
The Andy Warhol Museum is located in downtown Pittsburgh, and showcases the artists works. It’s the largest single-artist museum in the United States.
Lastly, Randyland is a free museum located in the City’s north side. It was created by artist and Pittsburgh native Randy Gilson, and brings smiles to both locals and visitors alike.
